This is an ideal course for either the beginner wanting to dip their toe in the water and gain an RYA Start Yachting certificate or the more experienced sailor looking for time afloat. This weekend course takes place on the beautiful Scottish Firth of Clyde starting from and returning to Largs over a weekend.

The RYA crewing course is for those new to sailing who want to become competent crew members rather than just passengers. On completion of RYA Competent Crew you should be able to steer the yacht, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day to day routines onboard a sailing yacht. This is the perfect 5 day course for a novice or complete beginner.

An RYA training course for aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills. The Day Skipper course is the first skippering RYA qualification.

Learn to skipper a short day passage with the instructor on hand to give advice and encouragement and ensure your safety.

Advanced RYA course covering skippering techniques for yachtsmen and women with considerable knowledge of sailing and navigation. Skippers train to undertake coastal passages by day and night. You’ll go further afield than the Clyde possibly sailing from Scotland to Ireland but starting and finishing in Largs.

For those skippers with the qualifying seatime and theory at the right level for RYA Yachtmaster offshore or coastal but need some time with an expert instructor. Get trained on the boat you will be examined on to polish your skills. The Clyde in Scotland is the perfect training ground to prepare for a YachtMaster offshore or Coastal exam and gain an MCA recognised certificate of competence.

Not quite sure if you are ready for your RYA Yachtmaster Offshore or Coastal exam? Spend 3 days with an RYA examiner being trained at the required standard before sitting a mock exam. The course will be run by an RYA examiner who will give you expert tuition before changing roles to give you the opportunity to sit a mock exam with comprehensive feedback at the end.

This is an intensive package for the skipper who wants to get themselves sailing at RYA Yachtmaster level. By combining a number of other courses tailored to the individuals needs we can create a bespoke package for any individual.

Many ladies find that they learn better and have more fun when with a group of other women. This course is for female crew only and we aim to have a female skipper onboard.

The first step in teaching within the RYA practical cruising scheme is to become qualified as an RYA Cruising Instructor. This enables you to teach RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses with an RYA Recognised Training Centre.

The Day skipper theory course is a 6 day shorebased course teaching navigation and the theory of seamanship and safety for inexperienced skippers. This knowledge is a prerequisite of the practical Day Skipper course.

This World Sailing Offshore Safety course equips both racers and cruisers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent and deal with emergencies offshore. This course satisfies the training requirements for many offshore races and is equally suited to those who undertake offshore cruises.

This one day course prepares you to stay alive in an emergency. It will show you how to make the best use of a liferaft and you will learn some basic survival techniqes. This sea survival course is designed for anyone who is using small craft on coastal or offshore waters.

This course is a requirement in order to be allowed to use a marine VHF radio.

This one day RYA shorebased course covers the basics of radio operation, frequencies, distress, emergency and medical assistance procedures, making ship to shore telephone calls, Digital Selective Calling and Global Maritime Distress Safety System.
