RYA Cruising Instructor course at Largs, Scotland
RYA Cruising Instructor is the first step in teaching within the RYA practical cruising scheme. Successful completion of this RYA course enables you to teach RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses with an RYA Recognised Training Centre and there is no better place to take the course than the Clyde in Scotland.
You should be an experienced Yachtmaster Offshore with a thorough knowledge at this level. A depth of knowledge above the RYA syllabus is necessary. Without extensive experience candidates are unlikely to be successful on a Cruising Instructor course.
The syllabus is broken down into instructional techniques, knowledge, safety and personal skills and taught in a ratio of (4:1) students to instructor.

When comparing costs with other providers it is worth remembering that all costs are included in our courses including fuel, gas, consumables, food and berthing.
Optional extras include food and drink ashore, purchasing a logbook if required and waterprooof hire.
When booking with other providers where berthing fees are not included, this is charged to the customer during the course adding a significant extra cost.
20% deposit is required to secure a place on the course with the balance due 6 weeks before the course begins.
