World Sailing / ISAF Offshore safety
This World Sailing Offshore Safety course equips both racers and cruisers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent and deal with emergencies offshore. This course satisfies the training requirements for many offshore races and is equally suited to those who undertake offshore cruises.
In order to complete this course you must first have completed the RYA Sea survival course (Day 1)
This course satisfies the World Sailing Special Regulations for categories 0, 1 and 2 races. The course contains a shorebased theory element and practical elements including flare demonstation.

- Storm Sails
- Damage Control
- Crew Routines
- Man Overboard Prevention and Recovery
- Giving Assistance to other craft
- SAR Organisation and Methods
- Fire Precautions and Fire Fighting
- Distress Alerting and Survivor Location Aids
Lunch is not included.
Assumed knowledge and sailing experience: None necessary although RYA sea survival necessary to obtain certification.
Minimum age: 18
