Off

High demand has meant that our 2023 booking for St Kilda quickly filled up. The solution has been to add an extra set of dates with a 2nd trip to St Kilda running from 16th until 25th July starting in Oban and finishing in Largs.

Saint Kilda is an isolated volcanic archipelago situated 40 miles west-northwest of North Uist in the North Atlantic Ocean. It can be visited by sailing yacht but it is not an easy place to sail to and is a real adventure. It contains the westernmost islands of the Outer Hebrides whose sea cliffs are the highest in the United Kingdom.

The islands are home to many endangered species of birds, especially puffins and gannets. Uninhabited since 1930 it bears the evidence of more than 2,000 years of human occupation in the extreme conditions prevalent in the Hebrides.

A trip to saint Kilda is on many peoples bucket list, but it isn’t always easy to get there. This cruise will involve some longer sails, night sailing and running a watch system with the ultimate goal being to step ashore at this magical place.

This 10 day trip gives plenty of opportunity to pick the right weather window to make the crossing to St Kilda giving lots of time to enjoy the sites and offering a better chance of stepping ashore.
