Scottish milebuilding and passage making course starting at Largs on the Clyde

This is the course for those who want to build miles towards an RYA qualification or for those who just love spending lots of time sailing on a yacht. This milebuilder will be tailored to tthe crew but expect to be sailing in watches and doing longer passages with some night sailing. This is a great opportunity to get 60 mile passages for those working towards Yachtmaster Offshore, or simply gain mileage if you are working towards Yachtmaster Coastal.

Pre-course experience: Dayskipper or equivalent practical ability

Minimum age: 18

Course content:  Preparation and planning for longer passages, routing and offshore weather, tidal planning, watch systems, offshore navigation and making landfall.

Course starts: Sunday 19:30 @ Largs, Scotland.

When comparing costs with other providers it is worth remembering that all costs are included in our courses including fuel, gas, consumables, food, certification and berthing.

Optional extras include food and drink ashore, purchasing a logbook if required and waterprooof hire.

When booking with other providers where berthing fees are not included, this is charged to the customer during the course adding a significant extra cost.
